His research interest is focused in taxonomic and systematic study of insects Polyneoptera with special reference towards Plecoptera, Orthoptera, Phasmatodea and Ephemeroptera, using a morphological and molecular systematic approach. He is currently teaches Evolution in a course and systematics and taxonomy in three other courses. Alejandro did his doctoral thesis under my supervision, in phylogeny and biogeography of Plecoptera. With Alejandro, we published an article about phylogenetic relationships of Agathemera in Zoological Journal of Linnean Society (ISI) and we have assisted together in many national and international congress.
